As I sit on my bed in the same jogging bottoms I’ve worn for the last 3 weeks (between washes) and scroll through TikTok videos until all the songs become part of my consciousness... I've begun to contemplate where i should be in my life at the age of 23.
Here's a quick summary.
I graduated from Falmouth University 2 years ago with a degree in Photography, and then recently travelled around Asia for 6 months. On return to the UK I came back to lockdown- unemployed, and ever since that moment I have been stuck with the same thoughts and worries. I've had no reunion nights out with friends or seeing the entirety of my family in one big family meal, and don't get me wrong I'm grateful that all my family and friends are safe and are staying in doors. But in the process of the last 2 months, I have felt this pressure and guilt that I should have my life all sorted out.
So this is how the last 7 weeks have gone...
Every Monday I treat like a 'fresh start', I begin applying for jobs, checking LinkedIn, being an overall productive person. Then by Friday, I've binged every series on Apple TV and Netflix. In between all this, I feel guilty for not picking up my camera or updating my photography Instagram. Which is when I throw myself into small projects, half I complete and half i fail miserably. So then I pick up a new skill like baking, learning Spanish, and eventually I try and fill my boredom with Amazon. Where I find products I don't need but now I do need because TikTok told me so.

And this is why I have come to make this blog and finally commit myself to something, in hope everything else will eventually follow. Whilst having this expectation of myself, its okay not to be where you want to be right now.
So calling all creatives, friends, followers, everyone! How are you finding this time? and is there anymore series that can be recommended?
Thank you for reading my first blog post! I am also a big skin care enthusiast, and after years of struggling with hormonal acne I have discovered products that work and some that don't. So I shall keep this blog updated, until i run out of things to talk about :)
